Travel Trade & Media Familiarisations
Bluebridge hosts wholesale and retail travel trade industry personnel who would like to familiarise themselves with our product. Visits comprise a mix of our invitees, and those who have chosen to 'self-familiarise' themselves. In all cases the aim is to educate and inform resellers and industry partners about all aspects of our service.
We also host dozens of international and domestic media each year, who are visiting to research story lines for print, broadcast and online media articles. We understand that this can be a very cost-effective form of publicity for us, with results often reaching readerships or audiences in the millions. So we offer heavily discounted media rates for Tourism New Zealand Explore cardholders and a few others who meet our selection criteria.
Normally we provide our services free of charge or at heavily discounted industry rates. We've included the details of the various industry opportunities we offer below. Please contact us if you are interested in organising a familiarisation sailing or require further assistance.
Bluebridge Affiliate Famil Policy:
- One free of charge famil is permitted for each staff member of an official Bluebridge affiliate (agent) and their car only. Any extra passengers/vehicles will be charged at the normal available public fare.
- Famils are not available during our peak travel periods, which include (but are not limited to): December 15th to January 15th, Public Holidays including Easter, Queens Birthday, Labour weekends.
- The FOC famil crossing is valid for the agent and vehicle while employed by a active reseller of Bluebridge services. If the agent was to cease employment with the reseller before the famil's date of travel, the FOC famil would be cancelled and full fare would need to be paid prior to travelling with us.
- One FOC famil booking is available per 12 months of service per agent.
Explore New Zealand Cardholder Policy:
Explore New Zealand cards are issued to:
- Frontline travel sellers who can use their New Zealand experiences to better advise and sell to their clients
- Product planners, managers and other key decision makers who can increase New Zealand's profile and visitor numbers
- International travel writers or individuals in media with a written commission to profile New Zealand
- Bloggers (not open to New Zealand bloggers).
We offer cardholders:
- 50% off travel (all fare types) for eligible person and up to one companion.
- Excludes 15 December - 15 January travel period.
- Explore NZ cardholders must present their Explore Card upon check-in otherwise the fare difference will be required prior to travel.
