Weather alert – Large swells predicted Monday 6 July and Tuesday 7 July

A southerly weather system is due to impact Cook Strait from Monday 6 July through Tuesday 7 July.
If the predicted conditions do eventuate, this could result in the delay or cancellations of some services. We are monitoring the sea conditions closely and if your sailing is impacted, we will notify you via text and email at the earliest opportunity.
If you would prefer to alter your travel plans now, the quickest and easiest way to change your booking is online.
Alternatively, you can contact our Customer Service team on 0800 844 844 (8:30 am – 8 pm) or email bookings@bluebridge.co.nz with your booking number. Fare terms and conditions apply.
If you booked through a New Zealand-based or international travel agent, please contact them directly to reschedule your travel.

Bluebridge fare update due to fuel costs

The ongoing situation in the Middle East continues to drive fuel prices higher. Like all transport operators, Bluebridge has experienced a significant and rapid increase in fuel costs.
While we’ve worked hard to absorb these increases, fuel prices have reached a point where we need to adjust our fares to help offset a portion of the additional cost.
Our priority is to keep New Zealand connected with a safe, reliable and affordable Cook Strait service. We recognise the global situation is affecting everyone and we appreciate our customers’ understanding. We hope these conditions are temporary and will continue to review fares regularly in line with changes to fuel prices.
Please note: the new fare levels apply to new bookings, or to amended bookings made after the change on Thursday 9 April 2026.
