Luggage and Extras
The checked-in luggage allowance on Bluebridge Cook Strait Ferries permits up to a maximum of two bags (up to 30kg per bag) per passenger. You can also take a small hand luggage item on board with you. Additional luggage or equipment can be purchased from $15/piece.
Refunds
If you have purchased a Flexi Sail ticket, you can cancel your sailing right up until check-in closes, one hour before your scheduled departure, and get a full refund.

When they're not spotting the local wildlife from the viewing decks, the kids will be entertained with free WiFi, family-friendly movies in the play area, and an activity pack. Disruptions
If you have provided your mobile phone number as part of your booking, we’ll try to contact you if a sailing is delayed or cancelled. In the rare event of a sailing cancellation, we will book you on the next available sailing or fully refund your ticket.

Down south our friends at Kaipūpū Sanctuary take care of a lovely part of our natural habitat not far from where we berth in Picton. While Coastguard Marlborough and Coastguard Wellington play a vital role in keeping locals and visitors safe in the Marlborough and Wellington regions. To give back to our community, every year we also donate thousands of dollars worth of travel vouchers to schools, clubs and community groups to help them fundraise.

About Us
Bluebridge was founded by Jim Barker in 1992 when he bought a ship to transport livestock between the north and south islands. In 2002 we launched a passenger service giving travellers a true Kiwi experience when crossing Cook Strait.
